Parmalat Protein Low Fat Milk is a high-protein, low-fat food that will help people increase their protein intake easily. Each 350ml bottle contains around 20 grams of protein (this is the amount protein you’ll get from a 100g chicken piece). It is low in fat, and provides some carbohydrates (in the form of sugar due to the lactose – equivalent to one carbohydrate exchange or the amount in a slice of bread). The base of the drink is low-fat milk, and it has reconstituted milk solids (milk protein isolate) to boost the protein content. Some other ingredients include stabilizers, flavourings and it is sweetened with artificial sweeteners, hence it’s lower carbohydrate content. It is available in two flavours (strawberry and peanut chocolate) and is a UHT (Ultra-High Temperature) processed milk, which gives it a long shelf life.
Parmalat Protein Yoghurt is a line of full-cream yoghurts designed to be a good source of protein. Each 175ml of yoghurt contains about 9g of protein (which is a bit more protein than you’d find in a 30g portion of chicken). The yoghurt is made from full cream milk, giving the yoghurt about 7g of fat per 175ml portion (a bit more than a teaspoon of oil). It also contains carbohydrates, again, in the form of sugar due to the lactose. It is available in plain, strawberry and chocolate chip flavours. These yoghurts have been highlighted for their rich and creamy textures, and are marked as a versatile food that can be used for breakfast, snacks or in recipes like smoothies and dips.
